If you are going to steal please be polite.
If you steal a purse you likely want anything that you can sell, use to buy things, or cash. Why waste all of the other items that have value to the purse's owner? Speaking from experience let me tell all of you thieves out there that the owner doesn't really care about the three items the thief wanted, the owner cares more about the items of ID and cards it will be difficult and time consuming to replace including drivers license, sin card, library cards, video rental cards, store cards (i.e. safe way, save on foods), medical cards, prescriptions and possibly a cell phone. So once you have the cash and the credit card why not turn the purse into lost and found (most thieves throw things into garbage cans so you can say you found it there no one will question that), or the door step of the owner (since you have their address) that way instead of having a person out there wanting to beat you to a bloody pulp you will have an appreciative anger free person and your own guilt will be less. Side note for cell phone thieves: if the phone has been disconnected just turn it into lost and found or the retailer (telus for example) you can't use it or sell it so why not let the owner have it. It will cost the owner quite a bit to replace when it is not necessary. So I hope if you are a thief and reading this post you will put some of these ideas into use.
