Student projects and BCIT
(March 24th, 2004)
Well, I'm resuming my studies at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). I figure it might be a good idea to upgrade my diploma into a degree.
For those not in the know, BCIT is the school I obtained my diploma from. I'm currently working on a student project with MINISIS Inc., which basically results in a lot of unpaid overtime. For some reason, my boss doesn't have a problem with this!
Doing TONS of stuff for work...I guess I shouldn't post the details on this page, but suffice it to say that our software is doing well and is quickly starting to look like a real contender in the market.
I'm going to be heading to Greece for three weeks in July. I'll probably take pictures and post them up here.
In April, I'm going to be starting two more B.Tech. courses at BCIT. That will keep me quite busy.
I picked up a ton of home gym equipment for my house, so now I don't need to head down to the gym just to use the free weights.
This is getting to be a long post.
Anyway, I need to take some liberal education courses for my bachelor. I can take almost anything as long as it's not a tech or business course. Any ideas? I'm thinking of taking a language.
Well, I'm sure I've missed something, but that's pretty much what's been keeping me busy lately. Additionally, I picked up Call of Duty and Unreal II, both good games, but in particular I recommend Call of Duty.
Hopefully I'll be more regular with my posts from now on.

(March 17th, 2004)
Hi all, I'm sure you missed my posts...it's been over a month.
I have been SO busy lately. To recap some of the things that I've been keeping myself occupied with:
- I moved out of my parents' house and into my own place in Burnaby. I've got a roommate named Neil, who is a little anal-retentive about his cleaning habits. Other than that, he's a good guy and seems reponsible, so I can't complain.
- I have been working my ass off for MINISIS Inc...not just during the daytime hours, but during the night hours as well. I am resuming my B.Tech. courses at BCIT, and the program requires the completion of two practicum projects, so I signed up for a student project with MINISIS Inc. This means I've been working nights as well as days.
That's what's been keeping my mind off of this website, among other things.
By the way, if you haven't already, you should check out NetJuke. It's a cool program that lets you convert a Web server into a streaming audio server and music repository. I have a NetJuke server set up to house my music; e-mail me if you want an account.
Other than that, have a happy St. Patrick's Day.
