Back from Alberni

Here I am, back from Port Alberni!

Was a fun trip. For those of you who didn't know, I went to Port Alberni to fix up a client's MINISIS installation. The people were great, and the food was incredible. I wouldn't have expected the food in a place like Port Alberni to be as good as it was.

The trip was scheduled to be a one night jaunt but it got turned into a three-night jaunt...it became apparent that the changes the Albernians wanted made to their system would take more than two days. So, I had to do panic clothes shopping to compensate for the fact that I'd only brought two days' worth of clothes.

Hi all,

Uma just sent me this cool picture taken from my birthday party several months ago. She sent me some others, which I may post later (despite her complaints), but this one is probably the best.

Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to hang out with these cool folks anymore due to a complaint from my ex-girlfriend. Long story. Anyway, on the top row we have (from left to right) Asha, Kenny, and Margaret; I'm sitting on the floor.

Port Alberni

Well, it looks like I get to go to the "wonderful" city of Port Alberni on a business trip. This is sure to be a load of fun...

Today we're going to be having a big celebration at work to celebrate both the company's anniversary and the anniversary of employment for myself, Tong, Baseer, and myself. Should be fun.
