Swaziland
(May 31st, 2003)
Well, here I am up at the cabin in Lake Erroch. Good to finally get some time to myself. I'll see if I can't take some pictures later.
Just recently, I read this great article (linked from Fark.com), which is a commentary from the King of Swaziland; he basically states in this commentary that most of the world's problems are caused by women wearing pants.
He says, and I quote, "The Bible says curse be unto a woman who wears pants, and those who wear their husband's clothes. That is why the world is in such a state today."
He also goes on to call human rights an abomination.
This article is quite intriguing, and raises many questions about the world we live in today. The most significant of these questions is obviously, WHERE IS SWAZILAND?
Is this a real place? Is it fictional? Is this entire article a joke? What kind of name is Swaziland? Where is it located? WHEN is it located? (From the gist of this article it would seem sometime in the Dark Ages!)
The King is right in that women generally are known to make our lives more difficult, but pants? Come on. Is that the best reason you can come up with?
Whatever.

(May 21st, 2003)
Well, I spent Victoria Day (plus the rest of the long weekend) at Whistler with two fellow CST graduates: Rod Sheeter and Pavan Sidhu. It was interesting to say the least.
Pictures of our vacation can be found in my graphics folder. My co-worker Tim - AKA "webmaster man" - has offered to whip up an online album for my photos. That'd be nice. Hurry up, Timmy.

Digital camera
(May 11th, 2003)
Just got a digital camera. Nice one too. I'll add many more pictures to this site now!
Anyway, it's been a fun Mother's Day. Hope all of you had fun too.
Went walking out at Minnekhada Park. Some pictures can be found here.

(May 10th, 2003)
Been a while since I've updated! Well, I'm back from Winnipeg...it all went well. A quick recap of the events there: Software reviews, client calls, and a conference. I had fun, but it's good to be back home.
Tonight I'm planning to go see X-Men United. Should be kickass.
Anyway, keep an eye on my resume section, as it will probably be updated soon. I'm considering using the section to the right for non-site related news or nifty links, so you might see some cool stuff there shortly.

Our software reviews are done.
Our first demo was a hard, but the second was far less painful. The second was more important anyway. I think we did fine.
So I have today off. I woke up early this morning, went out and got lost in the streets of Winnipeg. It's a strange city. One block looks like downtown PoCo, and the next looks like Vancouver. Huge buildings with lots of little tiny buildings in between them. The streets are really wide. My aunt informs me that this is due to the days when caravans would travel the roads, and due to them traveling abreast the passages required would be wider.
Winnipeg is very dusty. It seems like an okay city, but I don't think I'd want to live here. Still, I'm glad I got to see it and I look forward to the rest of this trip.

(May 1st, 2003)
Oh man, this SUCKS.
It was looking as though the next few days would rock...I got more responsibilities at work, got a laptop, and was sent on a conference trip with the CEO of MINISIS Inc. to do some marketing! But it's all turned into a nightmare.
Christopher (CEO) got the flight dates wrong, and I wound up having to flee the province to make it to Winnipeg in time.
I will be stuck here for a week more of this.
But you know what? It's kind of fun. It's challenging like BCIT was, and it's interesting to be in that stressed-out mindset once more.
I'm currently at the Delta in Winnipeg, waiting for coworkers in my hometown to un-fuck our software and re-ship it to me. Then the fun begins: an all-nighter with the CEO working on things.
This site will be a chronicle of my trip when I find time; remember to check back often.
